Pork roast in a bag- Slow cooker recipe

Pork roast in a bag- Slow cooker recipe

Fancy a roast dinner but don't want loads of washing up afterwards or having to stand over a hot oven for long time then why not do it in a slow cooker :)!!!

  • Joint of Pork
  • Potatoes cut to the size you require
  • Any Vegetables
  • Gravy
  • Bake in bag
  • Yorkshire mixture (2 medium eggs, 2 heaped table spoons self raising flour, 2 heaped tables spoons  plain flour, 4 table spoons milk mix together. Makes roughly 8-12)
Pop the cut potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker then place a little bit of water in the bottom then pop the veg on top, you can do this either way round. I cheated this time round and got frozen vegetables as haven't got any fresh vegetables in at the moment.

Then pop the joint of pork inside the bake in bag and pour the mixture in and move the joint all about in the bag (mine is a garlic & herb one from Morrisons with picture of chicken thighs on the front. Loosely tie it and place on top of the vegetables.

Pop slow cooker on low for 4 hours and med- high for 3 hours it does all depend on slow cooker. After then i took the joint out and popped it on a baking tray along with the potatoes just to make them crispsy, whilst the Yorkshire puddings were cooking in the oven. Whilst they are in the oven make up some gravy and pop it in slow cooker with the vegetables. Once Yorkshires are done serve all the food and Enjoy :)!!!
