Pork roast in a bag- Slow cooker recipe

Pork roast in a bag- Slow cooker recipe

Fancy a roast dinner but don't want loads of washing up afterwards or having to stand over a hot oven for long time then why not do it in a slow cooker :)!!!

  • Joint of Pork
  • Potatoes cut to the size you require
  • Any Vegetables
  • Gravy
  • Bake in bag
  • Yorkshire mixture (2 medium eggs, 2 heaped table spoons self raising flour, 2 heaped tables spoons  plain flour, 4 table spoons milk mix together. Makes roughly 8-12)
Pop the cut potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker then place a little bit of water in the bottom then pop the veg on top, you can do this either way round. I cheated this time round and got frozen vegetables as haven't got any fresh vegetables in at the moment.

Then pop the joint of pork inside the bake in bag and pour the mixture in and move the joint all about in the bag (mine is a garlic & herb one from Morrisons with picture of chicken thighs on the front. Loosely tie it and place on top of the vegetables.

Pop slow cooker on low for 4 hours and med- high for 3 hours it does all depend on slow cooker. After then i took the joint out and popped it on a baking tray along with the potatoes just to make them crispsy, whilst the Yorkshire puddings were cooking in the oven. Whilst they are in the oven make up some gravy and pop it in slow cooker with the vegetables. Once Yorkshires are done serve all the food and Enjoy :)!!!

What do you like to have for a Sunday roast dinner??? Comment below :)Look forward to hearing what you have...

Review; Daewoo with fat fryer microwave

So happy to be accepted to review a microwave from AO :)!!!! My one was on its way out so this came at the best time ever! I received the microwave few days after being accepted. It arrived but there was a fault that when was on microwave setting it wouldn't heat up. So contacted the company and they had a new one out to me within few days and was delivered on a Sunday amazing service :)!!!  You can find the microwave here at a price of £149. This not just any standard microwave. It has microwave, grill, oven, home fryer, steamer (to clean oven). defrost. Also goes into eco mode after hasn't been used for little which is after 10 mins with no activity  to save energy which is absolutely great :)!  also has a cooling mode after it has finished one con about that though the cooling is a little loud but doesn't go on for long. Everything works quite well.

The microwave setting,
You just have the glass plate in there and set the time to how long you need it on for by turning the dial and then selecting start.

Convection oven, Combination cooking or Auto cooking menu 5
You can use the convection cooking with pre heat setting by selecting the temperature you need then press start it will then pre heat and then pre heat you then select the time you need to cook for by turning the dial and selecting the amount of time and then press start. Or just have it so you put food in right away and cook without pre heating it.

Oven cooking pizzas,cakes
Same as the oven cooking but with a rack.

Home fryer,
There pre set functions for this or you can set your own time to cook. They do come out a little crispy if cooking say chips but i have found not all of them to. Its a trial and error with this. They do taste quite nice though. In the manual is a guide of times to cook stuff and always recipes you can make and use the home fryer.

Overall i really do love this microwave has so many things can cook in it from cheese on toast to chips :)!!.  Just remember DO NOT use the metal try in the microwave function.
Why not check out my Youtube video review i done on this microwave as well you can see that here
